To say I like Los Campesinos! would be an understatement. To say I'm excited for their upcoming 2010 release would be an even greater understatement. So while I patiently wait for it, the band will torture me and all of you some more with yet another preview. This ones called "These Are Listed Buildings" and is pure old school Los Campesinos! for anyone who had a problem with the style change of "The Sea is a Good Place to Think About the Future" (in which case your an idiot for not appreciating a band who takes risks and changes their sound). "Buildings" is gooey pop music layered on top of another bad love story of Gareth's. Note the great horn section that the band brought in for the record. Also the video is awesome. For anyone who would like it (i.e. me) the band is also releasing a one-sided 7" with the song on it. It be available on their upcoming UK tour dates.
The Creative Intersection is an Austin based music blog, dedicated to the music I discover and love. Feel free to email me about bands I should cover and your band's mp3 to david.glickman5@gmail.com. Also feel free to use the same email to contact me about sending me your CD, vinyl, cassette, 8-Track, or zine for review. Long live the physical format!
About mp3s
I post mp3s for the sole reason of promoting the bands they are used for. I don't really like mp3s and if you like what you hear, buy their albums. Despite what Steve Albini says, it does help the band. Any band/label who doesn't want thier mp3 to be posted can contact me at david.glickman5@gmail.com
